The Systemic Regulator
Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP) is a neuropeptide found throughout the body. It acts as a potent anti-inflammatory and immunomodulator. In healthy individuals, VIP regulates the immune response to prevent overreaction.
In conditions like Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS)—often caused by mold toxicity—VIP levels are chronically low. Supplementing with VIP can help correct gene expression abnormalities, reduce systemic inflammation, and restore hormonal balance (specifically MSH and ADH levels) disrupted by the toxin exposure.
